Products as a reliable basis for industrial processes

Cindu Chemicals delivers products and intermediates as feedstocks for well- and lesser known applications.

Naphtalene is an important intermediate for a whole palette of dyes in the clothing industry. This product has also found applications in entirely different branches of industry, such as in synthetic lubricants, concrete preparation and in the paper industry.

Cindu Creosote oil is a wood preserving product. Cindu Chemicals produces qualities for industrial use in wood impregnating plants as well as for manual application by professional users.

Carbon Black is made from 'Carbon Black Feedstock' (a mixture of tar oils). Carbon Black is used specifically in the rubber industry as a blackening agent which also strengthens the rubber. Another application for Carbon Black is in printing inks.
Cindu Tar Compounds are used in the paint and coating industries. In the shipping and off-shore industries, Tar Compounds are combined with plastics such as Epoxy and Urethane. Their protective action prevents corrosion.

In the past Cindu Chemicals used to produce tar varnish products, traditional products, which because of environmental reasons are less and less used. To fill this gap, Cindu developed “Cinplast”, an environmentally friendly product that offers the same protection as traditional tar varnishes.

A completely different product, but just as characteristic of Cindu Chemicals, is our electrode- binderpitch. With this intermediate product, strong carbon blocks are baked, which serve to conduct electricity in the steel and aluminium industries. These carbon blocks, so-called anodes, are indispensable in the production of aluminium, steel and many other metals and are used in enormous quantities.

Cindu Chemicals' Binder Compounds offer an optimum carbon structure for electricity conducting and refractory products.

Cindu Chemicals also operates a large and efficient unit for the production of emulsions of bitumen and polymers, both petroleum derivatives. With this plant Cindu Chemicals is able to produce, on a toll-manufacturing basis, products like road construction binding agents for third parties.
